The Simple Literature Curriculum Service is currently available only for third and fourth grade public, private,
and home-school teachers. To become a member, you must first pay your $14.95 initial membership fee. This allows
you Simple Literature Membership for one grade level during a single academic year (ending in June). With the payment
of this initial membership fee, you receive a Simple Literature Basic Membership. Here's what you get: Basic Membership Benefits
1. Reproducible reading sheets. Within five working days of membership
request and payment, you receive reproducible reading sheets that correspond to your grade level's short story and poetry
comprehension questions listed at SimpleLiterature.com. You can use these PDF files year after year. Print them, laminate
them, use them on an iPad, email them to your students, or make your own in-class book. You no longer have to buy expensive
student textbooks for your literature class!
2. Summaries.
Along with the reading sheets, you’ll get the short story and poetry summaries, which can help you teach your
students to summarize. Then for your convenience, we’ll also send you the free short story and poetry comprehension
questions and answers found at http://simpleliterature.com/id3.html or at http://simpleliterature.com/id40.html, depending on your chosen grade level.
3. More reading sheets throughout the year. Your membership doesn’t stop there. You will
receive access to a YahooGroup, where future reading sheets, comprehension questions/answers, and summaries (for the duration
of the school year) will be posted. If you join this group, you can download these newly created PDF files anytime during
your membership, which goes from the moment you join until June of that academic year.
4. Discounted member curricula. During any or all months of your
Basic Membership, you can opt to become a Premium Member. Premium Membership lasts only one month at a time and costs a nominal
monthly fee. You can be a Premium Member for one month or every other month or every month during your membership. The choice
is yours . . . monthly. During the month that you are a Premium Member, you can make one request and choose up to 20 lessons
of full curricula for selected stories, poems, and books (at any grade level). This curriculum set of your choosing is emailed
to you as PDF files within five working days of your Premium Membership payment and request. There are no strings attached.
(For the 2011/2012 school year, the nominal monthly fee is $2.50.)
