“I purchased this resource to plan for next year and am absolutely excited about this resource! I teach SPED 6 – 8 with different academic levels. This resource is perfect for differentiation! I can have different readers read the Rebus or the short story and still work on the activities together. I plan to take the answer sheets and cut them up for my lower level learners and have them glue the cut out circles on their answer sheet and let my writers write the answers in. I can also cut up the answer sheets for the graphic organizers and let lower levels glue them onto the sheet and again let writers write. The character education associated with this story is a great lesson and life skill they need to learn. So many resources in one lesson! As a bonus Texas TEKS are covered! Under “Knowledge and Skills” many of the skills for TEKS 1-7 are covered and absolutely specific for TEKS 8 and 9 for multiple Genres. Plan to look into more of these from Simple Literature.”

ENJOYED THE PLAY
Our class went through this curriculum before going to see the play at the High School nearby. It was perfect! Many classes were there and there was a lot of confusion from the students. But, because our class had gone through this curriculum, they followed the play and enjoyed it very much!
